Dubuque to install defibrillators across city for use in emergencies

The City of Dubuque is installing automated external defibrillators – or AEDs – at several locations across the city.
The defibrillators are planned on being installed within the coming months with 11 total cabinets already purchased to house the equipment.
Parks, recreational areas, and public restroom areas have been specified as locations where the city thinks they could be of the most use. The AEDs came available after the Dubuque Police Department received a grant to purchase new ones for their squad cars.
The existing AEDs are still able to be used, and as such have been made available for public use in emergencies.
