Maquoketa Summer Concert Series expands shows and artists

The Maquoketa Summer Concert Series is getting ready to start their shows in May.

With each year they are wanting to improve upon and evolve the shows to give better performances and more options that people want to see. One such change will be a show ahead of the proper start date to kick off the series now being held at the new Glovik Community Park.

In addition to the kick off show, most performances will have an opening before the main act. They will also be expanding the kind of music that is played, with a funk band as well as a jazz band being booked for this summer.

These were all recommendations they received from those in the community that they implemented.
