Jackson County Sheriff asks public for any information about La Motte fire

On Sunday, Midwest Legacy Beef and Eastern Iowa LP in La Motte suffered a large structure fire that burned down at least two buildings.

While no injuries were reported, an investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing. The Jackson County Sheriff Brent Kilburg asked the public that if anyone has photos, videos, or information about the fire, to please contact the Sheriff’s Office.

If you do have any information that could be of help in the investigation, reach out to the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation is being led by the state fire marshal’s office and any leads or evidence will help the investigation into the cause of the fire.
