Former Dubuque football coach sentenced to 10 years for 1st degree theft

A former Dubuque football coach was sentenced to ten years in prison for stealing almost 50-thousand dollars from a local league.
The former Dubuque Senior High School football coach Darrell Moore pleaded guilty to stealing just over 47-thousand dollars from the Dubuque Independent Football League.
The plea agreement that Moore entered with the Dubuque County Attorney’s Office included a deferred judgment of probation for two years, which the judge rejected.
Moore was instead sentenced by the judge to ten years in prison for his 1st degree theft, with court documents finding Moore used the money to pay for things from streaming subscriptions to golf courses and hotels.
