Rural Anamosa hospital will purchase surgery robot

A rural hospital in Anamosa has received a grant that would purchase a surgical robot.
The technology has been used in other hospitals across Iowa, with one of the closest being in Cedar Rapids.
The Jones Regional Medical Center received a 3-million dollar grant to purchase the equipment call the da Vinci robot, which would allow for treatment of local patients that they would previously have to travel out of county for.
The hospital in Anamosa hopes to have the robot purchased and operational by this fall for use in treatment and surgeries.
