Photo contest for new website featuring Maquoketa and surrounding areas beauty

If you have some photos that you think showcase Maquoketa and Jackson County’s beauty, then submit them to the Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce’s photo contest.

The photos will be used for a new website called Visit Maquoketa which aims to centralize the information of what Maquoketa and surrounding areas have to offer. We had the Chamber on our Just Talk program on Wednesday morning to talk about the contest.

They then went into more detail about the categories available for submission, as well as the a bit more incentive for those who submit photos.

So get out there and snap some pictures that capture the beauty of Maquoketa and the surrounding area. This is open and available to everyone, and photos submitted will be used on the website, with credit given to the photographer.

You can listen to the full interview with the chamber here.
