Barn of Dreams committee members and 4-H students discuss plans for the project

On Just Talk this morning we had members of the Barn of Dreams committee alongside 4-H students to talk about the project.

The committee formed right after the 2025 fair and aims to build a new livestock showing pavilion with increased capacity. I asked them what the plans are for the project, which they gave plenty of details on.

This is the core of what is wanting to be done, and the goal for funds is $2,000,000. After a presentation made by the students at the Maquoketa Livestock Exchange, Dan Powers alongside Mike Franzen announced financial support totaling 200-thousand dollars for the project.
