Jackson County Jail promotes four officers to rank of Sergeant

Yesterday the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office promoted four jailers to sergeants.
The four new sergeants are Diana Budde, Nicholas Hager, Tracy Friedrichsen, and Brandon Russell. One of the main duties of the sergeants is to ensure consistency in procedures and will allow for each shift of personnel to have a designated shift lead. I spoke with one of the officers, Nicholas Hager, about the promotions.
These changes are not coming out of nowhere, and have been in the works for years. Sergeant Hager continued by saying that seeing the changes is rewarding for all of them, and that they are ready to meet the requirements expected of them.
In addition to promoting four officers, four full time positions were also added, with the hiring of them coming from their part-time workers. With more resources, personnel, and consistency, the jail will continue to fine-tune and improve in their efforts.
