Data needed for Jackson County Economic Alliance goal to help businesses

The Jackson County Economic Alliance is asking for participants for their survey.
Director of the Alliance Kelley Brown was on our Just Talk program this morning to discuss the purpose of this survey, and how it will be used. She started by saying that over 40 percent of Jackson County’s workforce will be retiring in the next 15 years, and that the alliance is wanting to help businesses through this upcoming period.
Once the data is collected, it will then be used to better understand where the businesses in Jackson County are with resources and employment in the coming years. The information is kept confidential, but is used to allow for more aid where it is needed.
So if you are a business owner or know someone who is in the area, encourage them to fill out the survey. Doing so will help the alliance and the county understand what issues may be faced in the coming years, and how to best address them. Jackson County is also notably one of the first counties to do this initiative, and is being observed by the state to see the effectiveness of the program.
