The Hospice of Jackson County was the winner of the Maquoketa Area Chamber of Commerce Non-Profit of the Year Award by popular vote.
The chamber gave the members of the group their award at their center yesterday afternoon. Afterwards I asked a member to speak a bit more about their mission and impact.
With almost 25 years of being in operation, they have continued their mission to help those who need it. While they have a dedicated staff, they also are aided by all the volunteers who help with their efforts.
They are honored to have received the community’s support and award, and will continue to support those who need their services.
