Winter Seed Sowing event with Jackson County Conservation

The Jackson County Conservation is having an upcoming event for their OWLS group that is also open to anyone.

Macey Jurczyk was on our Just Talk program this morning to talk about the many events coming up, and mentioned exactly what the OWLS group is.

One such event for them is the winter seed sowing session happening next Wednesday at 1:30pm. This event will be utilizing recyclable materials to build a soil container for seeds to plant in the future. Macey then provided more information on the event itself.

Registration is required for this event to plan for how much material is needed. It also costs five dollars to cover the price of soil that will be provided at the event. So if you’re wanting to grow your green thumb and get some native plant seeds to utilize in the Spring, sign up for the event by Monday Feb. 9th.
