The Morehead Bridge has officially been opened as repairs are finished.
The announcement was made on the Jackson County Iowa Secondary Roads’ Facebook page earlier today.
The bridge that crosses the Maquoketa River on 74th Street is now reopened for use again. Repairs were made to the lower chord section, and while it is open for traffic, a weight restriction is still posted for the bridge.
