Jackson County Jail reports almost $200,000 in revenue from 2025

The Jackson County Jail has been open for a bit over a year, and Administrator Andrew Long was on our Just Talk program today to talk about the jail and give updates.
In the year of 2025, he reported that the jail made over 200-thousand dollars in revenue after costs.
Not only did the jail bring in revenue for 2025, but also made up past expenditures from years past. This was achieved by housing inmates from other counties, and not having to pay to do the same with other counties.
According to the numbers, the new jail has already been a boon for the county, while also aiding the counties around us in their law enforcement efforts.
