At least eleven accidents have occurred in Jackson County alone this month, with at least half of them involving deer.
One accident recently was a result of the icy conditions that appeared from winter weather. On January 22nd 21-year-old Mary Edwards of Preston was traveling on Hwy 64 when she went over a patch of ice and lost control.
The car then rolled twice before coming to rest. Edwards was the only occupant in the vehicle, and sustained only minor injuries from the accident.
No citations were issued.
All information collected from the official 10-50 reports released by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
