Annual Cake Auction at the game vs Northeast tonight

If you’re wanting some cake and would like to support the athletes in our schools, then tonight’s Cardinal game against Northeast is where you want to be.

The Maquoketa Athletic Booster Club’s VP Chad Coakley and member Christa Koob were on our Just Talk segment this morning to discuss this great fundraiser. This is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, and involves dozens of cakes that are up for auction to raise money for the Cardinal Sports Teams.

While this is one of their biggest fundraisers of the year, there is still some confusion around exactly what is offered. They provided some clarification on the different auctions that will be present.

Not only is there a silent and live auction, but they also serve cake with ice cream for a free will donation. These are separate cakes from the ones up for auction, so whoever wins the bid for a cake gets the whole thing. They stated everything should be set up by 4pm this afternoon, but they are still accepting cake donations until 3pm today.

So stop by, bid on a cake, eat some with ice cream, and support your local student athletes!
