Two fires occurred in Dubuque yesterday evening.

The first fire was in a storage unit of a multi-storage building around 6:36pm. There were heavy fire conditions in the main unit with it spreading to the adjacent units as well. No one was injured from this fire and fire fighters had it under control quickly.

The other fire was at a residence on Central Avenue around 8:40pm. Fire fighters arrived at the building where smoke was coming out. One of the residents did require treatment and was sent to the hospital, though his injuries were non-life threatening. Due to the damages of the fire however, the building was deemed uninhabitable.
