Rep. Tom Determann talks about way forward on pipeline and eminent domain

Rep. Tom Determann was the only official at the legislative coffee who voted for the initial bill that would allow for the use of eminent domain.

After the event I asked him about his choice and how he feels the house and senate can move forward to find an agreement. He mentioned how many bills have been proposed and not gone anywhere, and is seeing the conversations around it progressing towards a potential compromise.

Rep. Determann said he is open to having these conversations, as he sees the potential for the pipeline. Eminent domain is a potential avenue for a solution, but he also recognizes the importance of land rights and is hoping for a balance of the two.
