Building fire in Dubuque contained by firefighters

A fire occurred in Dubuque yesterday evening.

19 firefighters responded to a residential structure fire at 1991 Rockdale Road around 6:14pm. No one was in the house when officials arrived, and the fire was located in the attic of the building. Firefighters had the fire under control in just over ten minutes, and no injuries were reported from the event.

An investigation revealed arcing electrical wiring to be the cause of the fire, with the house sustaining around 20-thousand dollars in damages.
