Two Dubuque parks move towards organic land management practices

Two parks in Dubuque are moving towards organic land management.
The City of Dubuque and the nonprofit Beyond Pesticides are collaborating to enhance soil health, reduce water usage, and create safer public spaces in natural areas. The Jackson Park and Washington Park will both serve as the place for these changes, to ensure the changes will yield the expected results while allowing for transparency.
The City of Dubuque Parks Division Manager Steve Fehsal expressed his excitement for the initiative, and the learning opportunities that will be provided for the staff.
