Clinton County inmate transported to University of Iowa Hospital

The Clinton County Sheriff’s Office has released an announcement.

On Sunday the 28th, an inmate in the jail was found unresponsive in their cell. Officers began life saving measures until he could be transported to a local hospital. He was then later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, where he still remains.

An investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigations.
