DuTrac warns of recent scam messages

DuTrac Community Credit Union has been made aware of scam texts sent to some of their members.

These text messages appear to be from the business but are actually from scammers. A link is sent alongside the message for people to follow and put in their banking information. This is a scam that is designed to steal your banking information and even install malware onto your device.

Even without entering any information, opening the link can still allow the scammers access to your device information. DuTrac will also never ask for your online banking password in such a way.

If you have any questions or suspect fraud, please contact DuTrac at fraud@dutrac.org, call 563-582-1331, or stop into any DuTrac location.
