Trash collection information for Maquoketa and Dubuque

The garbage pick-up in Maquoketa for Christmas and New Year’s Days have been changed. As no waste pick up will be happening on the holidays, Thursday pick ups have been moved to the following Saturday, the 27th and 3rd respectively. Friday’s waste collection has not changed and will be picked up as normal.

The City of Dubuque has also announced updates for its own holiday waste collections. Similar to Maquoketa, Thursdays waste collections are being moved to the following Saturdays, the 27th and 3rd. Starting on Christmas Eve and lasting until New Years Eve, an additional trash bag can also be set out for pick up. Normally a sticker is required for the additional bag, but for the holidays it is being waived to allow for easier clean up.
