Planned power outages for infrastructure upgrades in Maquoketa

There will be some planned power outages occurring within the next few days. The Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility will be finishing some upgrades to their systems infrastructure. They are in the final stages of this, and will be wrapping it up in three phases.

Phase 1 is planned for tomorrow from 7am to 10am. It will include several of the properties between the west side of Main street & the East side of Second Street from Maple Street to Grove Street.

Phase 2 is planned for this Friday from 8am to 9am. It will include several properties between South Main and South Olive from Maple Street to Smiles on Main.

Phase 3 is planned for Monday the 22nd from 6am to 9am. It will include the properties between Main Street and Olive from roughly Glovik Park to North Street.

The schedule for this could change due to weather, but they will be sticking to this schedule as closely as possible. MMEU workers will be contacting all businesses and also hang door hangers to mark and inform the residential buildings that will be affected. They also say that the allotted time allows for potential delays, and that power could be restored before the end of the given time frame.

They wanted to make sure that they thank everyone for their patience and understanding!
