Gov. Reynolds orders flags at half-staff in honor of Iowa National Guards

Gov. Kim Reynolds has ordered all flags to be flown at half-staff effective immediately. This order was announced today and is in honor of the two Iowa National Guards who were killed in Syria on Saturday Dec. 13th. The flags will remain at half-staff until both soldiers have been laid to rest.

All government buildings, grounds, and facilities will be flying lowered flags. Schools, individuals, and private businesses are all encouraged to lower their flags as a sign of respect.
