Water main break in Maquoketa

The City of Maquoketa has shut down water in the 300 and 400 blocks of Monroe Street.

A water main broke and the water has been turned off for the buildings in that area. Residents in the area will have little to no water pressure while construction lasts. While construction is being done, a boil advisory is not expected to be needed or announced.

The construction repairs to the water main is expected to be completed by this afternoon.

The city will be making more announcements as work progresses.

For any questions you can contact Jen Schwoob at 563-652-4881 Ext 027. You can also call her cell at 563-221-3082.
