Increase in staffing for the Jackson County Jail

Earlier this morning I had the chance to speak with Jackson County Officer and Jail Administrator Andrew Long.

While no major updates have occurred to the jail itself, their staffing will be increasing to help meet demand.

According to Officer Long, this increase in staffing will help increase employee retention, operations capacity, while also decreasing the cost of staffing the jail. The jail will be seeing four new sergeants and four new full time employees, which will all be in place and ready for work by this Sunday.
