On Saturday the 29th, there was a semi-truck that caught fire in town.
The vehicle was parked at the Kwik Star in town when it started on fire. The Maquoketa Fire Department responded to reports of the fire around 12:26pm and were on scene until 1:06pm. An investigation into the cause of the blaze is being done, and more information will be released as the investigation progresses.
