Northern Lights will be visible in tonight’s sky

If you missed the Northern Lights last night, you’ll have an even better opportunity today.

The Northern Lights are stretching down farther than normal, giving beautiful views to areas such as Jackson County that might otherwise not get them. While seeing it with the naked eye might be a bit challenging based on your location, your phone will be able to pick up beautiful colors. If you’re wanting to see the lights, try and find a darker area without any light pollution and look to the north. Then you can take out your camera and capture the lights with stunning colors.

If you’d like to share any photos taken from either last night or later this night, we here at KMAQ would love to see them! You can send them in through our Facebook page, or by emailing us at news@kmaq.com.
