TJ’s Stocking accepting donations until Dec. 5th

KMAQ was able to have Todd of TJ’s Stockings on to our Just talk segment. He discussed what TJ’s Stockings is and what they do. Their mission goal is to help give kids a better Christmas. To do this he donates stockings throughout Jackson and the surrounding counties to children and families who need it.

The organization gets stockings and fills them full of presents. This is all done by volunteers by hand once all the supplies are gathered/donated. The process usually takes most of a single day.

His operation has grown substantially over the years, from 200 stockings packed just by himself, to over a thousand stockings packed with help from others.

In addition to the stockings he also gathers items for a silent auction. The money made from that goes towards buying extra supplies for more stockings.
