Clark University to cut academic programs and positions

Clark University in Dubuque will be cutting some programs and positions in 2026.
Citing an increase in costs and financial pressures, the private university will be slightly downsizing at the end of the academic school year. Around 40 positions at the university will be lost due to the cuts.
While faculty and staff will be affected, the majority of the student body, around 90 percent, will not notice any difference in their academic plans.
The university has not released what positions will be cut, but more information will be released as plans are finalized.
