Last night in local high school postseason volleyball: Bellevue defeated Cascade 3 sets to 1. Senior Cydney Tath went on an absolute tear with 30 kills on the night. This advances the Comets to the Regional Final in Independence tomorrow, where they will face defending state champion and #1 ranked Denver for a chance at the state tournament.
In Monday Night NFL Football: The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the Washington Commanders 28-7 to improve to 5-3.
Finally in the MLB: World Series Game 3 was tied for the longest World Series game in history, going to 18 innings. The Dodgers prevailed thanks to a Freddie Freeman walkoff solo home run in the bottom of the 18th to get by the Blue Jays 6-5 and take a 2-1 series lead. Shohei Ohtani reached base a record 9 times, thanks to 5 intentional walks and going 4-4 at the plate with 2 doubles and 2 home runs. He is on the mound for Game 4 tonight, which begins at 7.
