New Maquoketa Farmers Market Confirmed

The Jackson County Master Gardeners were on our Just Talk segment on Thursday. They talked about pumpkins, gourds, and a bit of squash, with plenty of information and knowledge being shared. One thing from the discussion however was in relation to the Maquoketa Farmers Market. Judie Tonderum shared one of her favorite memories from the market.

She then said that the farmers market would be returning next year. The market will be different and details are still being worked out, but it will be returning.

Judie said that new people have stepped up to the task and are working on the details. While there is still work being done, information will be released on the market later this year.

While the farmers market we know has come to a close, it will be continuing. Changes will be made, but it will still be the market that has become such a staple in the community. The Master Gardeners will also remain with and help the farmers market when it continues next year.
