Bellevue will collect over $1000 in outstanding parking fines

The City of Bellevue has around one thousand dollars in unpaid fines from parking tickets. Many options for collection were discussed, with the final decision being to prevent vehicle registration for outstanding tickets.
After the initial 30 days to pay a parking ticket, notifications will be given to those refusing to pay. Ten days after the notification, if fines are still not paid, a registration hold will be sent to the County.
The Bellevue Police Department got city approval to continue with the proposal and work with the County.
All information collected from the official minutes approved by the city council.
