Semi-truck accident blocked Esgate-Hurstville Road intersection

An accident occurred yesterday Oct. 15th just outside of Maquoketa.

The accident was between two different semi-trucks hauling trailers on Highway 61, and was blocking the connection between Esgate and Hurstville Road. One truck appeared to have rear-ended the other one, with damage being visible on one of the trucks front end. No injuries were reported and the damage appeared to have been minimal, but towing was still called to the scene.

A couple of citizens were also helping to block the intersection until police arrived at the scene. The names of the drivers are not available, and a full detailed report will be released by officials at a later date.
