Seed harvesting event at the Hurstville Interpretive Center this Friday

The Hurstville Interpretive Center is having a seed harvest event this Friday.

Anyone and everyone is welcome to take part in the event from 9:30-11:30am. This is a great opportunity to learn more about the native prairies and the plants that exist within it. Participants should dress accordingly, wearing long pants and bringing a pair of gloves and pliers if able to.

The seed harvest is of course free of charge and while registration is not required, it is appreciated. You can find more information and the registration form on the Hurstville Interpretive Center’s Facebook event post.

The Hurstville Interpretive Center is located just north of Maquoketa on Highway 61.
