Bellevue State Park Volunteer Day this Saturday

This Saturday, the 27th, is Statewide Volunteer Day for Iowa State Parks. Parks across the State will be holding events for people to come help clean and maintain the parks. The purpose, outside of park upkeep, is to build community engagement with the State Parks, enjoy nature, and connect with people in the area.
Bellevue State Park is one of the locations participating in the event. Those interested should meet at the Butterfly garden parking lot at 9am Saturday. Preparations for fall will be on the agenda, with tasks such as picking up trash, staining tables, splitting firewood, winterizing the butterfly garden, and more needing to be completed.
They ask that those interested please bring garden tools such as rakes and shovels. Also make sure to dress appropriately, wearing pants, long-sleeved shirts, and gloves.
For any questions or for additional information, please contact the park manager Elli Lineburg at 563-872-4019.
