Maquoketa has been named in the top eleven places to live in Iowa.
The list comes from the World Atlas website. Some of the reasons listed are for its art scene, historical heritage, as well as natural wonders like the Maquoketa Caves. All of this combined with the relatively low cost of living, close proximity to medical care, and friendliness of the people, leads Maquoketa to being one of the best places to live in the entire Hawkeye State.
