Prairie Creek Recreation Area kicking off completion on Oct. 25

The Prairie Creek Recreation Area Project is almost complete! In celebration of this, there is a grand kick off that will be on October 25th at 1pm. The celebration will start at the main pavilion off of Summit Street.

In total this project costs just under 4-million dollars. The project required collaboration between many different groups and organizations to help make it possible. The project was designed to encourage many different factors, such as outdoor recreation, engagement, visitor attraction, and promote the local economy.

While construction is still being finished, the disc golf section of the park is open to the public for use.
