Brian Manning’s Trial Appeal Rejected by Appeals Court

Brian Manning’s appeal for his conviction of 2nd degree murder has been denied. Manning filed for an appeal of his trial and sentencing shortly after he was found guilty.
Manning was found guilty by a jury back in 2024 for the murder of Michael Berg in 2022. In his appeal, Manning stated that there was insufficient evidence for his conviction of 2nd degree murder, alongside more specific claims about the trial. After a thorough review of the case record, the appeals court found no evidence to support his claims, and affirmed the ruling of 2nd degree murder.
Brian Manning is not eligible for parole with a sentencing of 2nd degree murder, and will serve another 34 years in prison before being released at the age of 73.
