Quad Cities youth mentoring group raises 184k in funds

A Big Brothers Big Sisters fundraiser has raised 184-thousand dollars in support of the program. The event that took place on Saturday down in Davenport had people rappelling down a 140 foot tall building. Those who helped to raise money had a chance to participate in the event, with over 100 people going over the edge of the building.
Around 200 children are on a waitlist for the Big Brother Big Sisters program, and raising funds is essential for continuing to provide support and mentorship to the children in the Quad Cities. The event succeeded in the organization reaching their goal of 175-thousand dollars in support.
