In St. Louis Cardinals action: the birds got by the Colorado Rockies 3-2 last night thanks to a go-ahead 2-run double in the 8th inning from Brendan Donovan. The NBA recently announced opening night games: The season tips off on October 21st on NBC and Peacock with the defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder hosting newly-acquired Kevin Durant and the Houston Rockets, that’s followed by a rivalry game between Steph Curry and the Warriors and LeBron James and the Lakers.

The Associated Press released their College Football Preseason Top 25 yesterday and Iowa State will begin the season ranked 22nd in the country.
