Weekend Incidents

There was a gas leak in a home in Wyoming this weekend. The Andrew Fire Department responded to the house leak on Saturday the 2nd at around 8:30pm. The house, which was located on North Washington Street, had the meter that was feeding gas into the building shut off. The owners were not home initially but were notified of the issue and came to the residence shortly afterwards. The Andrew Fire Department did an investigation and discovered a hole in the gas piping that was the cause for the gas that was leaking into the house. Thankfully no one was injured and no damages were reported.
There was a hit and run that happened this weekend as well. At around 10am on the 2nd, a man was hit in the passenger side of his car by another vehicle that then drove off. It occurred in the 1000 block of Broad Street, and unfortunately no vehicle description is available at this time.
On Sunday there was a car crash involving a deer. Yesterday at 8:45pm a black Toyota Camry that was heading Southbound on Highway 61 hit a deer on the road. The car was severely damaged and was not drivable, with the car being privately towed later in the evening. The driver was uninjured and no one else was in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
