NWS: Active Weather This Weekend

The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities released their weekend weather update for the region. Heat and humidity return to the region this weekend into next week. Several rounds of storms are possible Friday night through Sunday, some of which have the potential to be severe. The main round of storms might develop later Friday into Saturday morning, with a lower expectation on Saturday evening. Repeated rounds of heavy rain may lead to flash flooding. Any heavy rainfall in river basins that are already running high may result in a renewed river flood risk. To stay updated and get alerts for severe weather in your area you have a few options: Stay tuned to the NOAA Weather Radio, your local TV and Radio News stations, electronic weather apps and emergency alerts, outdoor sirens, internet weather sites, and your friends and family too.
