Popeye’s Chicken Employee Arrested After Drive Thru Confrontation

A Popeye’s Chicken employee in Davenport is facing charges after a drive-thru confrontation turned violent. Police say the incident happened just after 7:20 Monday evening at the Popeye’s on Marquette Street. Authorities allege 30-year-old Aliyah Teyanna Dantzler intentionally slammed the drive-thru window on a customer’s arms, causing bruising. The reason behind the altercation hasn’t been disclosed, but Dantzler was also charged with resisting arrest—police say she refused to relax her arms while being taken into custody. She was booked into the Scott County Jail on charges of assault causing bodily harm and interference with official acts. Dantzler posted a $1,300 bond and was released shortly after.
