Fireball 2025: Changes Made Due To Greenspace Renovations

Yesterday on Just Talk, Mayor Tom spoke to Greg and Bjorn about the 2025 Fireball Event. It is the 10th year of Fireball, beginning in 2015 when an idea to do a community event with the green space in downtown Maquoketa was formed after a meeting one night. It has gained popularity each year attracting roughly 12-1500 attendees. Admission is $5 per person and the event will take place on Saturday, July 12th with gates opening at 5:00pm. Fireball is known for bringing in live music acts and this year is no different. Starting at 5:30pm, the Ridgerunners will perform until 8:00pm. From 9pm until midnight, Boogie and The Yoyos will take the stage as the second band of the night. Boogie and The Yoyos are celebrating their 30th anniversary and are bringing back former band members to play on stage to commemorate their three decade milestone. Tri-M will be serving food on site and beverage tents will also be there with both alcohol and non-alcoholic drinks available. The stage where the music will be performed is on Pleasant Street near Hall of Fame Pizza. There will be entrances to get in off of Pleasant Street. The committee does warn that all of Main Street from Platt up to the Voy Theater will be shut off as well as Pleasant Street from Olive up to 2nd street that day. More updates and information will be posted on their Facebook page 2025 Fireball to keep people in the loop. The area will be shut down Saturday morning until 1:00 am on Sunday to allow time for set up, the event and tear down. Greg and Bjorn would like to thank all the sponsors throughout the years for their help sponsoring this event. Without their support, none of this would be possible.
