MMEU Updates Powerlines In the Maquoketa Downtown District

For Maquoketa residents and businesses in the downtown district, Maquoketa Municipal Electric Utility or MMEU crews, along with their directional boring contractor, will be working in the parking lot and alleys on the east side of Main Street. This is part of an important voltage conversion and undergrounding project.

The work is expected to last several weeks and will cause disruptions to both traffic and parking in the area. There will also be planned power outages during the project, but businesses will be notified ahead of time.

MMEU appreciates your patience during this project as they work to improve our infrastructure. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to call the MMEU office at 563-652-6891.
