More than 200 people in the Iowa Quad Cities lost power Monday evening after a truck struck an overhead power line in Bettendorf.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. in the 2900 block of Dawn Court. According to MidAmerican Energy, the impact broke a utility pole, forcing crews to deenergize the circuit for safety about 40 minutes later.
Crews worked to remove the damaged pole, install a new one, and reattach the overhead equipment. Power restoration followed the repairs.
No injuries were reported.
