Fire Breaks Out at ADM in Clinton

At approximately 3:54 Saturday afternoon, the Clinton Fire Department responded to a fire at the ADM co-generation plant, located within the corn processing complex at 1251 Beaver Channel Parkway.

Fire crews arrived to find ADM staff safely evacuated and waiting outside. A unified command was quickly established, with mutual aid from the Fulton Fire Department, who provided a Rapid Intervention Team.

The Clinton Fire Department deployed two ladder trucks, one engine, two ambulances, and a command unit. The control room of the co-generation plant was swiftly evacuated, and thankfully, no injuries were reported.

Firefighters located the source of the fire and brought it under control within 45 minutes. Crews remained on site to ensure the fire was fully extinguished and to prevent any flare-ups.

ADM staff and the Fulton Fire Department assisted on scene. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and damage assessments are ongoing.
