Bettendorf House Fire

A weekend house fire in Bettendorf sent one person to the hospital — but fortunately, they’ve since been released. Just after 9 a.m. Saturday, Bettendorf firefighters responded to a blaze at 4145 Aspen Hills Drive. Crews were told en route that someone was still inside the home, upstairs. When firefighters arrived, they found flames on the staircase leading to the second floor. They quickly extinguished the fire and located the trapped individual. That person was helped out of the home, treated at the scene by Medic EMS, and taken to the hospital for evaluation. There were no injuries to firefighters, and the cause of the fire is still under investigation. The response included assistance from Bettendorf Police, the Davenport and Rock Island Arsenal Fire Departments, Medic EMS, as well as MidAmerican Energy and Iowa American Water.
