St. Ambrose University & Eastern Iowa Community Colleges Joining Forces In Nursing Courses

A new partnership between St. Ambrose University and Eastern Iowa Community Colleges is opening doors for nursing students across the Quad Cities and beyond.

Announced Thursday, the agreement allows students in St. Ambrose’s Nano Nagle Online Nursing Program to take select courses at EICC that will count toward their St. Ambrose degrees. This guest enrollment option builds on a previous joint enrollment effort between the two institutions.

St. Ambrose President Amy Novak called it “a big win for students who want flexibility, affordability, and quality education.” She added that it’s proof that collaboration between universities and community colleges can truly expand access.

EICC Chancellor Liang Chee Wee echoed that sentiment, calling the partnership “a smart solution” to support the next generation of nurses and help meet growing demands in the healthcare workforce.

The program is especially aimed at supporting rural students, giving them local access to required coursework. EICC operates campuses in Bettendorf, Clinton, and Muscatine.

The new enrollment option is already in effect, and students can learn more at sau.edu.
